Countdown to Civil War: Avengers vs. Defenders

When folks think of Civil War, the seven-part Marvel Comics event that inspired the new film Captain America: Civil War, they think of superhero against superhero in an all-out war. But Civil War is by no means the first time that happened. Meet me after the jump for my thoughts on a crossover event from a simpler time when Loki and Dormammu manipulated the Avengers and the Defenders to go to war against each other.

Countdown To Civil War: CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Easter Egg Wants

Civil War Final PosterCaptain America: Civil War, perhaps the most eagerly anticipated film of the year, is days away from dropping.

The trailers for the film have been absolutely astounding; the build up to the conflict between two favourite heroes, riveting; and the fan excitement level, at al all-time peak.

As the first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Phase Three, Captain America: Civil War should form the basis for the plethora of Marvel films to come. That extensive list includes this fall’s Doctor Strange, next year’s Thor: Ragnarok and Spider-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and then Captain Marvel among others. Wrapping up the phase will be the two-part extravaganza: Avengers: Infinity War.

And if you know Marvel Comics, and are a fan of these Marvel movies, then you’re looking for Easter Eggs – those hidden gems of story, characters or incidents that only the most educated of the educated know about.

We here at Biff Bam Pop! love talking about them. That’s what this article is for: Easter Egg wants. Our wishes. Our desires. And like good ‘ol Cap, we could do this all day.

Here, then, are the Easter Eggs that four Biff Bam Pop! writers (and Marvel Cinematic Universe enthusiasts) want to see in the highly anticipated blockbuster film.

Give them a read and then tell us what your Easter Egg wants are, fan-boys and fan-girls!

Avengers Assemble S02 E15: Avengers Disassembled

So Captain America is out, and Spider-Man is in. That doesn’t seem like a happy replacement at all for me. But then again the title of this week’s episode of “Avengers Assemble” still brings me nothing but agita after well over a decade. All this and Ultron too, as the animated team seems closer to reenacting Civil War than Age of Ultron… Meet me after the jump for my thoughts on “Avengers Disassembled.”

While we have the week off from “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” and the rest of the world enjoys the finals of this season’s “Dancing with the Stars,” let’s sit back and reflect on what may be the big game changer on the show, and I’m not talking about dancing – I’m talking about the Inhumans. Meet me after the jump and we’ll explore the Inhumans and their connection to “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”

First Look: Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch

We didn’t get an episode of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” this week. Instead, we got an admittedly self-serving but ultimately cool special about the Marvel Cinematic Universe, called “Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe.” Among other things, including a history of the studio, secret Easter eggs in the movies, etc., we also got a sneak peek at the concept art for two of the most anticipated new Avengers from Avengers: Age of Ultron. Meet me after the jump for Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch…
