With superheroes, and especially Marvel superheroes, probably being among the most popular Halloween trick or treat costumes this year, it might be worth checking out how the animated Marvel superheroes handle the holiday. What do the Hulk, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Hawkeye and the Avengers do to celebrate Halloween? Meet me after the jump to find out…
For the series ten finale of Doctor Who, things are looking rather grim. The Doctor is surrounded by old enemies, The Master and Mondasian Cybermen, and to make matters worse, not only has companion Bill Potts been transformed into a Cyberman (woman?), but Missy, the version of The Master that The Doctor has been trying to reform, has joined her previous regeneration against her old enemy. Can things get worse? Is this The Doctor’s last stand? Will he regenerate? Check out my thoughts on “The Doctor Falls” after the jump.
The fourth season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been a wild one, from the debut of Ghost Rider to killer LMDs to the Secret Empire world of Agents of Hydra, the ride has been intense. Now it ends here in a season finale that’s sure to go out with a bang. Meet me after the jump for my thoughts on “World’s End.”
Just so we don’t go cold turkey with our Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD addiction, ABC has provided us with a new digital-only series for the winter break – Slingshot. Not only do we get a spotlight on Yo-Yo (Slingshot is actually her character’s name in the comics, and she’s quickly become one of my favorite characters on the show), but we also get a bit of fill-in on what happened during the time between seasons three and four. Meet me after the jump, for my thoughts on Slingshot, the digital series.
While we’re on Election Week break with the Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series, I thought I’d take a peek at the ongoing Marvel comic of the same name. I wrote about S.H.I.E.L.D. #1 about a year ago here, but a lot has happened since then, including this ongoing series. The Agents have become firmly rooted in the Marvel Universe of the comics, and even embroiled in Civil War II. Meet me after the jump for my thoughts on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – the comic series.
Secret Origins are a major part of the superhero game, so when it’s time to learn the dark genesis of Ghost Rider, the subtitled star of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., it’s a big deal. Did Robbie really sell his soul to the Devil? Let’s find out. Meet me after the jump for my thoughts on “The Good Samaritan.”
While the rest of the world is either in the desert listening to amazing music superstars or watching the latest blows in the American Presidential war, some of us have been focused on the genre events going on at this year’s New York Comic Con. Meet me after the jump for just a few of the highlights, including Iron Fist, the Defenders, Doctor Who, Power Rangers, Justice League, and The Walking Dead, just to name a few…
All through the last episode of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. we were teased and taunted with the identity and agenda of the new Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., now we finally get to meet him. Plus a second round of Quake vs. Ghost Rider, all this and more in my review of “Meet the New Boss,” after the jump.
There are a lot of concepts flying around in this episode of Avengers: Ultron Revolution, from the appearance of the second Black Widow, to the Natasha/Hulk relationship, to the re-emergence of Hydra as a major threat to the Avengers. It seems the comics, animation, and cinematic universes converge on this one. Meet me after the jump for my thoughts on “Seeing Double.”
