Doctor Who S10 E09: ‘Empress of Mars’


Traditionally Doctor Who is considered to be the protector of Earth and mankind against all manner of alien invaders, but what happens when it’s mankind who are the invaders, and the invades are former archenemies of The Doctor? That’s the conundrum when Victorian age explorers land on Mars amongst a hive of Ice Warriors – what will The Doctor do? Can Zootopia and Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Dethrone Deadpool?


Hey folks, Glenn Walker here, editor-in-chief Andy Burns who usually does the weekly Box Office Predictions, is out of town, so I will be giving this a shot. Remember, folks, I’m not a gambler, or a psychic, and kids, don’t try this at home. Box office predictin’ is dangerous business.

There’s Only One Lone Survivor: Biff Bam Pop’s Weekend Box Office Wrap-Up Report

While, this column’s regular contributor basks in the sun of a very well deserved holiday with his family, I’m tasked with counting turnstile receipts for this weekend’s box office results.

I must admit, although there aren’t any crazy headlines to be made from the decisions of movie-goers over the past few days, there are some surprising good results for one film, and some not-so-surprisingly horrible results for another.

Frozen Freezes Out The Marked Ones – Biff Bam Pop’s Weekend Box Office Wrap-Up Report

The early box office estimates are in and, as predicted, we have a new number one. Here’s what went down.

Frozen_(2013_film)_posterAfter duking it out with The Hobbit for the past three weeks, Frozen finally returned to the top spot at the box office, bringing in $22.5 million, raising its total to $299 million in North America. The film continues to have legs and could find itself close to $350 million when its run concludes.

The Hobbit Vs. Anchorman – Biff Bam Pop’s Weekend Box Office Wrap-Up Report


At the start of the weekend, Biff Bam Pop! predicted a big rush for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, giving The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug a tumble, and beating out other newcomers American Hustle and Saving Mr. Banks. Oh, that was a fun heading to write!
