After what happened on last week’s episode of The Flash was pretty much a waste of time, as the plan neither worked nor advanced the plot much at all, one hopes this episode is different. The Flash recruits archenemy Captain Cold in his war against Savitar and they run afoul of King Shark – if nothing else, this will be exciting. Meet me after the super speed jump for my review of “Infantino Street.”
We’ve been given a gift as far as superhero television goes in The Flash. Not only have we’ve gotten a terrific, accessible, and entertaining TV series about superheroes, they have also gone above and beyond when it comes to presenting hardcore comic book mythos on the small screen. After all, who would have ever thought we’d ever get the DC Multiverse on prime time TV? We have the Invasion, Gorilla City, and more crossovers and team-ups coming, but what else could we get? Meet me after the super speed jump and I’ll give you my top ten things I want to see on The Flash!
31 Days Of Horror 2016 Brings A Gothic “Deadman: Dark Mansion of Forbidden Love #1” On The Wednesday Run
It’s October – and that means that the weather is getting cooler, the leaves are beginning to turn shades of yellow, orange and red, and you’re probably mulling over what Halloween costume you’ll be wearing at the end of the month.
It’s October – and that must also mean…horror! How delicious!
As Biff Bam Pop! brings you the 2016 edition of our annual 31 Day of Horror features, the next four Wednesday Run columns will attempt to highlight some of the more (a-hem) seasonal comic book releases.
Who better to kick that off than everyone’s favourite dead man, Deadman – in his new, Gothic-tinged miniseries, Deadman: Dark Mansion of Forbidden Love!
We’ve been through these comic book collection lists twice already this month, but there’s more. Oh, how there’s so much more!
You can read through Part 1, which mentioned a host of great, affordable comic books for the loved ones in your life. Part 2 continued to showcase great works of sequential art – but these were ones that were slightly more expensive.
This 3rd and final installment mentions the monetary apex of some of the greatest comic book works that were released throughout the year. Yes, they’re expensive. But yes, a loved one should have them in their collection. (Also, self-love is not at all shunned here!)
I know! Times a-tickin’ and the shopping window is a-closin’’! Let’s get to it right after the jump!
Each week, one of Biff Bam Pop’s illustrious writers will delve into one of their favorite things. Perhaps it’s a movie or album they’ve carried with them for years. Maybe it’s something new that moved them and they think might move you too. Each week, a new subject, a new voice writing on… something they love.
At first glance, Jack Kirby’s Kamandi might seem like veiled rip-off of The Planet of the Apes with its wild humans and intelligent animals in a post-apocalyptic future, but it was oh so much more. Meet me after the jump for more on my love of Kamandi, The Last Boy on Earth!
We saw the first part of this “Flash Vs. Arrow” crossover event last night on the CW’s episode of “The Flash,” and tonight it concludes on “Arrow.” Who is really better, the Flash or the Arrow, and how will the menace of Captain Boomerang complicate matters? Join me after the jump for my thoughts on “The Brave and the Bold.”
This is it. After three adversaries that weren’t quite Flash foes, we finally get one who truly is. For Superman, there is Lex Luthor, for Batman, there is the Joker, and for the Flash – there’s Captain Cold. Let’s find out together how the television version of this major super-villain pans out on “The Flash.” Meet me after the jump for my thoughts on “Going Rogue.”
There are some big, plans a-brewing when it comes to everyone’s favourite Dark Knight Detective.
It’s been seventy-five years since the first appearance of Batman within the pages of Detective Comics #27 and you can bet that the upcoming San Diego Comic Con later this month will have a plethora of Batman-related programming and announcements. Bat-celebrations get a jump-start this week with the release of two decades-spanning hardcover compilations honoring the character.
Follow me after the jump and I’ll tell you about each of them!
For the month of February, we’ll be doing something special here at Biff Bam Pop! Each week our writers and correspondents will be compiling lists of their favorite things. Today, I’ll be talking about my favorite reboots. A reboot is when creators take what has come before, and trash it in favor of a whole new continuity. It’s pushing the restart button, it’s erasing the blackboard, it’s the ultimate do-over, and unfortunately, it happens a lot in pop culture. Meet me after the jump for my favorite reboots.
