As Barry and Iris’ wedding looms closer on The Flash, it’s time for the bachelorette and bachelor parties to happen. Felicity Smoak visits from Arrow, and so do a few super-villains, including Blacksmith, and no Flash action. Who knows what else what might happen? Meet me after the prenuptial jump for my thoughts on “Girls Night Out!”
Seems like old home week here on The Flash, as we’re introduced to not only the Elongated Man from the comics, but also Machete himself, Danny Trejo, as Breacher, Gypsy’s father. This should certainly be an interesting episode, especially after last week‘s seeming descent into jump-the-shark territory. Meet me after the stretch and the super speed jump for my thoughts on “Elongated Journey Into Night!”
As implied by the title of this episode, this one is all about mixed signals, whether literal, or emotional and romantic. As The Flash battles Kilg%re, here a dangerous metahuman who can control technology, Barry struggles to reignite his six-months-gone relationship with Iris, and we see an interesting reversal in Cisco and Gypsy’s relationship as well. Join me after the super-speed techno-organic jump for my thoughts on “Mixed Signals!”

Besides making the phrase “I am Groot” part of the pop culture landscape, the great and lasting legacy of the Marvel Films will be the introduction of the “shared universe” concept. The idea that, within a series of films, hints and plot threads can be woven together to build to a bigger, bolder super film! From that first end of credits scene at the end of Iron Man, right through to the leaked trailer for Avengers: Infinity War; this has all been going somewhere. And wherever that place is, its full of money.
Now that it’s been sorta established that Iris has a death wish, what better time for her suspected murder from the comics, Clive Yorkin, to make his live action debut? And can The Flash make Kid Flash fast enough to save her from her future death? Find out after the super speed jump in my review of “Untouchable.”
H.R., the Harrison Wells from Earth-19 has been a lot of things we did not expect, but a criminal? The Flash must get ready as a bounty hunter from Earth-19 is here to for H.R., and for Cisco, it’s both love at first sight, but also a battle to the death with Gypsy. Meet me after the extra-dimensional jump for my thoughts on “Dead or Alive.”
When last we left The Flash, Savitar had not only dropped a prophecy of doom upon Team Flash, but momentarily propelled our hero into the near future where he witnessed the death of Iris at the hands of the villain. Now time marches toward that event, can the Flash stop it from happening? Find out after the time jump in my review of “Borrowing Problems from the Future.”
Television crossovers rarely happened in the past, and when they did, it was more in the way of a backdoor pilot or a guest-star role. Things like Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley spring to mind, but there were full-blown crossovers in the past – doctors from St. Elsewhere visited the bar Cheers, and Charlie’s Angels solved a mystery on The Love Boat – but in an age where we have huge extended continuities like the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it happens a lot more often. Meet me after the jump and we’ll discuss one of the most ambitious crossovers in recent television history – Heroes v Aliens, Invasion in the Arrowverse!
Flashpoint, though avoided, has still caused much damage to the Flash and his friends. Among those threats are those awoken by Doctor Alchemy to their powered Flashpoint selves. Things get worse when Wally starts to realize he was Kid Flash. Meet me after the super speed jump for my thoughts on “Shade.”
We’ve been given a gift as far as superhero television goes in The Flash. Not only have we’ve gotten a terrific, accessible, and entertaining TV series about superheroes, they have also gone above and beyond when it comes to presenting hardcore comic book mythos on the small screen. After all, who would have ever thought we’d ever get the DC Multiverse on prime time TV? We have the Invasion, Gorilla City, and more crossovers and team-ups coming, but what else could we get? Meet me after the super speed jump and I’ll give you my top ten things I want to see on The Flash!
