There’s snow on the ground here in Toronto…and also in the fictional town of Riverdale!
We must be smack dab in the heart of the holiday season!
Whether it’s Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or any other mid-to-late December celebration, you’ve hopefully got the spirit of the season in you by now! I mean, it’s been nothing but ornaments, tinsel, candles, multiple Santa, Hallmark Holiday movies and family get-togethers the past few weeks (and weeks to come).
And even the comic book industry has gotten in on the holiday cheer, publishing some seasonal specials this month. This very column focused on one of them a week ago, which you can read here.
Today sees the release of another one of them, as always, perfectly timed and full of fun! Check out the Archie Christmas Spectacular!
Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe is coming to exclusive locations in Canada this week. Decked out with all the Pop’s essentials, fans will be presented with Archie’s classic dilemma: Betty (Old Fashioned Vanilla) or Veronica (Double Chocolate) and enjoy their milkshakes in Pop’s cups. To find the Pop’s closest to them, fans can visit popsdiner.ca. Fans can share their tasty adventures using #popsdiner.
Here’s the full list of cities where Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe will appear:

31 Days Of Horror: The Wednesday Run Visits Spooky Riverdale With The “Archie Halloween Spectacular” & More
Well, maybe it’s just growing up that can be scary at times.
Depending upon what you’re reading (or watching these days!) and between boyfriends and girlfriends, bullies and gossipers, teachers and principals, moms and dads, and all sorts of mischief by friends – Riverdale, home to Archie and his pals, can be a pretty scary place (especially in October!)…but it’s also a pretty interesting and fun place to visit alongside your best fictional pals!
The adventures of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead and all the others continue in amazing popularity with kids and adults – over seventy five years after they first saw publication, way back in 1941!
And, keeping up with trends and interests of a twenty-first century fan-base, Archie, like us at Biff Bam Pop!, loves the Halloween season.
Continuing with our month-long 31 Days of Horror theme, that’s why this particular column is focusing on Archie Comics today…and their release of the Archie Halloween Spectacular #1!
Hold onto your burgers. Here’s a sneak peak at Riverdale Season Two!
Things are going to be different. Darker.
Riverdale returns October 12. Season One is streaming now on Netflix.
This past week Life with Archie #36 came out, and if you’ve been paying attention to various news outlets, and the comics press for the last few months, you know it’s the death of Archie Andrews. But that’s not the end of it, it’s not even the tip of the iceberg. We’ll get a bit of background, and learn all about life and death with Archie, after the jump.
Everybody at Biff Bam Pop! is talking about Top Fives this week, and I’ve already hit you with my thoughts on 2013’s film offerings. There were a lot of cool things going on in the comics world this year, so it’ll be difficult to narrow them down to five, but I’ll try, or maybe I’ll just talk five movements in comics, we’ll see. Next, after the jump, we’ll look at my top fives (give or take) in comics for 2013.
