Bond, James Bond claimed the top spot at the box office this weekend, making a huge splash with the franchise’s biggest opening weekend ever. Here’s what went down:
Skyfall flew to the top of the box office this weekend, bringing in an estimated $88 million to claim bragging rights. This is an absolutely fantastic opening weekend, bigger than Quantum of Solace’s still strong $67 million debut back in 2009. With a number like this and positive critical and fan reaction, Skyfall is in position to possibly gross more than $200 million at the North American box office.
