Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S04 E15: ‘Self Control’

ag1

In the last episode, in perhaps one of the most frightening cliffhangers in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. history, five of our team have been replaced by LMDs – everyone but Fitz and Simmons as a matter of fact – and the bad guys are looking for a full set. Meet me after the jump for my thoughts on “Self Control.”

After the fun episode with Patton Oswalt and the Koenigs, and a run-in with a Nitro wannabe, it looks like it’s back to the grind for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Mace has been captured by the Superior, who is hunting Agent Coulson. Meet me after the jump for my review of “The Man with the Shield.”

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S04 E13: ‘BOOM’

As we open on this episode of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. there appears to be no good news, yet a plethora of bad news. Mack and Coulson are tracking a woman with Aida’s face. Mace’s chances of dying increase with every injection of that mutated Hyde formula, Radcliffe had been stealing terrigen crystals while he was at S.H.I.E.L.D., and the Superior has been reading the Darkhold. Can it get much worse? Oh yeah, meet me after the jump for my thoughts on … “BOOM.”

What makes a hero? We know that Director Jeffrey Mace’s past as a hero isn’t all it seems, but he does have a costume a powers, so what more does it take? Quake has all that too and has been pushed into the spotlight, but what makes a real hero? We may find out with this episode of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., after the jump, in my review of “The Patriot.”

The next phase of this season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is now underway, as noted in the subtitle LMD. Aida plots to once again possess the Darkhold, while keeping May captive and an LMD of her active with the team. Meanwhile a new Inhuman, Senator Nadeer’s brother Vijay, has emerged, and that’s only the start of this new beginning. Meet me after the jump for my review of “Broken Promises.”

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – Slingshot

ag1

Just so we don’t go cold turkey with our Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD addiction, ABC has provided us with a new digital-only series for the winter break – Slingshot. Not only do we get a spotlight on Yo-Yo (Slingshot is actually her character’s name in the comics, and she’s quickly become one of my favorite characters on the show), but we also get a bit of fill-in on what happened during the time between seasons three and four. Meet me after the jump, for my thoughts on Slingshot, the digital series.

All agents are on board, including the big guns – Quake, Yo-Yo, and even Aida. Meet me after the jump for my thoughts on “The Laws of Inferno Dynamics.”

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – The Comics

ag1While we’re on Election Week break with the Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series, I thought I’d take a peek at the ongoing Marvel comic of the same name. I wrote about S.H.I.E.L.D. #1 about a year ago here, but a lot has happened since then, including this ongoing series. The Agents have become firmly rooted in the Marvel Universe of the comics, and even embroiled in Civil War II. Meet me after the jump for my thoughts on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – the comic series.

Can vengeance be contained? After a few clashes with Quake, the Ghost Rider comes flaming face to face with the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. What is his secret, and what about the ghosts of the Momentum Lab? Worse than that, how are the Watchdogs getting info on the Inhumans? Meet me after the jump for my thoughts on “Let Me Stand Next to Your Fire!”

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S04 E03: “Uprising”

We’ve met the new boss, we’ve met the Ghost Rider, and we’ve seen what the team has been up to since last season, now it’s time to see what these new Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are really capable of against a brand new threat – the Inhuman Resistance. Meet me after the jump for my thoughts on “Uprising.”
