Watch With Amanda: Fringe Renewed, More AHS News & Your Summer TV Preview

JUST ANNOUNCEDFringe has been renewed for a fifth and final 13 episode season! Fox President Kevin Reilly released a statement on Thursday saying “Fringe is a remarkably creative series that has set the bar as one of television’s most imaginative dramas… Bringing it back for a final 13 allows us to provide the climactic conclusion that its passionate and loyal fans deserve. The amazing work the producers, writers and the incredibly talented cast and crew have delivered the last four seasons has literally been out of this world. Although the end is bittersweet, it’s going to be a very exciting final chapter.”  Accompanying the announcement, Fox also released a trailer for Season 5 which may reveal a clue or two to where the final season is heading.

Even more news on the second season of American Horror Story!  Last week we dished the location of season 2 as well as confirmation that Adam Levine has joined the cast.  EW has learned exclusively that Big Love‘s Chloe Sevigny is in final talks to join the second season. Sevigny will play a character named Shelly the Nymphomaniac, who is one of the mortal enemies of Jessica Lange’s character. The writers and producers wrote the part with Sevigny in mind as they are such big fans.  The actress will join Lange, Levine, Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Lily Rabe in the new season, which will be set in an East Coast institution for the criminally insane run by Lange’s character.
