If you’re a Nintendo fan, and you can’t wait to get your hands on the Wii U, you’re in luck! There are plenty if them on shelves this holiday season. Don’t let the lack of demand fool you though, this is a fun system that deserves a place on your TV stand.
Find out why after the jump!
The new Wii U Gamepad is equipped with a 6.2″ 854×480 display, which adds a multitude of features in various games including off-screen inventory management and TV-less gameplay. It can also give you a totally unique experience when playing multiplayer games in the Nintendo Land setting as well as Rayman, New Super Mario Bros U and others like it.
The controller battery life is pretty weak – 4-ish hours – but can be extended by the use of 3rd party peripherals, or by using the controller dock (if you were frivolous enough to spring for the deluxe version).
It’s a perfect system for those getting into video games for the first time and – with the addition of the pro controller – it will make those that have grown accustomed to the feel of Microsoft/Sony controls feel right at home. It is clearly a console designed for multiplayer gaming, and can be fun for the whole family, and that’s what makes it a great addition to the 2012 Biff Bam Pop! Holiday Gift Guide!
