31 Days of Horror 2015: Bones/Sleepy Hollow Crossover

When I learned of the “Bones” and “Sleepy Hollow” crossover event scheduled on FOX, I was excited my little sleepy heads; very excited. What a great Halloween treat. Bones Brennan vs. Ichabod Crane! Two FBI crime teams working together with one little itty-bitty discrepancy; one of them is not from this time period. Read the rest of this entry

31 Days of Horror 2015: Sleepy Hollow S03 E01: I Witness

I like watching “Sleepy Hollow” which stars Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie, but although the cast was excellent, the writing needed to be vamped up, a lot. Maybe with season three, the creators have finally perfected the formula to make “Sleepy Hollow” kick-ass great. On the season two finale, Abbie did some time travel and Ichabod said a bittersweet goodbye to Katrina. But as we all know, our dynamic duo’s fight against evil is never over. Sleepy Hollow S02 E18: Tempus Fugit

In last week’s episode of “Sleepy Hollow,” Henry died, witchy Katrina did a time travel spell and, accidentally dragged Abbie with her. Abbie is out of her element and in trouble, but Captain Crane doesn’t know her. Time flies, but except for the outstanding acting done by Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie, season two seemed to drag on and on. The show had a winning formula, but someone messed with it. Tonight, I hear, there’s going to be a lot of action and intrigue. Someone will die. Tonight is the season two finale. All my fellow sleepy heads and I are hoping there will be a season three. Sleepy Hollow S02 E17: Awakening

On last week’s episode of “Sleepy Hollow,” we met good ole Thomas Jefferson. Why was the writer of the Declaration of Independence and the third president of the United States hiding out in the sewers of Sleepy Hollow? He and his monster posse had important information for our dynamic duo. Too bad Ichabod and Abbie couldn’t save the books. This week we’re asked the question, “Who really cracked the Liberty Bell?” Our dynamic duo has to stop a coven of witches from gaining power. Which side will Katrina be on? Sleepy Hollow S02 E16: What Lies Beneath

On last week’s episode of “Sleepy Hollow” we discovered that Katrina has a dark side, but will this improve the ratings? Henry is back with a vengeance and he has a sidekick. Frank has everyone fooled into thinking he’s back to normal. That favor he’s about to ask Jenny might cause some serious repercussions. There is a disaster and a team of surveyors go missing. Who is behind this? You’ll never guess. Read the rest of this entry

Sleepy Hollow S02 E15: Spellcaster

In last week’s episode of “Sleepy Hollow” we had two special treats. Jaime Murray, who plays bad girl Stahma on Syfy’s “Defiance,” was a guest on the show and, our crime fighting duo Ichabod and Abbie did a duet. This week, Ichabod has to stop a warlock from finding a book of spells, while Abbie is forced to work with Frank. I wonder what Henry is up to? Read the rest of this entry

Sleepy Hollow S02 E14: Kali Yuga

Possessed portraits, serial killers and dating 101 were the topics on last week’s episode of “Sleepy Hollow.” Poor Ichabod, he’ll need to put more fizz into his romancing techniques if he’s going to win Katrina away from the very passionate and dashing Abraham. We’ve learned the backstory of all the characters, except one. What’s Nick’s worst nightmare. Meet Nick’s childhood caretaker.

Sleepy Hollow S02 E13: Pittura Infamante

Ichabod Crane, our colonial stud muffin, has had to deal with demons, Moloch, an ungrateful son, headless horsemen, purgatory and, on the last episode of “Sleepy Hollow,” an angel named Orion. But, tonight Ichabod will handle his most dangerous quest; a date with his wife. Can Ichabod save his marriage Maybe Abbie will have some suggestions. Let’s hope it doesn’t involve the founding fathers. Read the rest of this entry

Sleepy Hollow S02 E12: Paradise Lost

Holy John Milton! On the last episode of “Sleepy Hollow,” Team Ichabod fought a war on two fronts, one with demons and another with a wayward wife. Henry went biblical on both his human and demon fathers, giving Moloch a big sendoff. Now that the apocalypse has been put on hold, is Ichabod out of a job? Is Captain Irving really dead? Is Katrina hot for Headless? We may need to ask a winged messenger. Don’t you think? Read the rest of this entry

Sleepy Hollow S02 E11: Akeda

I have to say that I’m really enjoying this season of “Sleepy Hollow.” You never know what mischief Henry will start and I look forward to seeing the ‘Monster of the Week,’ but what I enjoy the most is learning the backstory of each character. In last week’s episode, we saw how close Abraham and Ichabod were until Katrina messed it up. Ichabod and Abbie now have a magic sword, but will they have a chance to use it?
