‘Avengers: Infinity War’ looking for infinite audiences this weekend at the box office

We all know that Avengers: Infinity War is going to rule the box office this weekend, so the only real question is how much is this hugely anticipated film going to bring in. Will it break records? Underperform? Here are our predictions:

The main hype surrounding Avengers: Infinity War is that it’s bringing together all the Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes to battle the big bad known as Thanos. We’ve got the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man, Ant-Man and Doctor Strange – so many heroes, and only two hours and forty minutes to play with them. However, the general consensus is that Marvel Studios doesn’t make bad movies (though everyone has their preferences) and judging by the 86% fresh ranking at Rotten Tomatoes right now, Infinity War isn’t going to disappoint. It should also perform extremely well during its opening weekend, with the only possible negative facing it being its two hours and forty minute run time. Bringing in over $200 is virtually guaranteed, a feet accomplished previously by the first Avengers film and this past February by Black Panther, but just how far can Infinty War go? With hype and history on its side, I’m going on the high side of that number. In fact, I think the film will debut with a record-breaking three day gross of $250 million.

As for the rest of the top five, A Quiet Place with be in second place with $10 million. Rampage will be in third place with $9 million, with I Feel Pretty right behind it in fourth place with $8.5 million. Super Troopers 2 will close things out in fifth with $4 million.

So, to recap, here are our predictions:

1) Avengers: Infinity War – $250 million
2) A Quiet Place – $10 million
3) Rampage – $9 million
4) I Feel Pretty – $8.5 million
5) Super Troopers 2 – $4 million

Be sure to check back on Sunday to see how the weekend turns out!
