The end of the world is coming to Showtime’s “Penny Dreadful” this season. The psychological thriller that blends Victorian horrors into a tapestry of literary terror and shock is back, adding Patti LuPone and Wes Studi to the cast, as well as bring Dr. Henry Jekyll into the fold. “Penny Dreadful,” created, written, and executive produced by three time Oscar nominee John Logan, stars Timothy Dalton, Josh Hartnett, and Eva Green. The new season begins May 1st on Showtime. Our own Marie Gilbert will resume her reviews of the series when it returns.
