A24 just dropped a brand new trailer for Alex Garland’s much-anticipated new film, MEN, starring Jesse Buckley (I’m Thinking of Ending Things) and Rory Kinnear (Penny Dreadful). MEN is written and directed by Garland and will release on May 20.
This new trailer gives us a much more substantial look at the film than the original, haunting teaser. We see Buckley’s character Harper, a woman wracked with grief over her husband (Paapa Essiedu) who committed suicide. Retreating to the country, Harper has a series of unsettling interactions that prevent her from easing her trauma. A strange man stalks her, her apple tree seems to be inexplicably dying, and why do all the men she meets look identical? Kinnear seems to be playing multiple roles here, and his face is superimposed onto a child’s at one point which makes for the new trailer’s most disturbing moment.
Pull up the blankets, turn the sound up, and check out this trailer ahead of MEN‘s release this May!
MEN comes to theatres on May 20, 2022 from A24.
