There are all things we wish we never did. But our past actions are what make us who we are today.
But…what if? What if?
That nagging thought can keep you up at night.
So, what if you were able to shape, to correct, past actions in a more desirable way? What if you were able to escape your past by hiding…in it?
Sounds a little sci-fi, doesn’t it? Well, that’s the premise behind the high concept new monthly comic book series from Image Comics. And the important thing about time travel is that it can take you just about anywhere!
Co-written by fan favourite writer/artist Declan Shalvey (Bog Bodies, Injection, Moon Knight, 28 Days Later) and Rory McConville (Write It In Blood) and illustrated by Joe Palmer (Write It In Blood), Time Before Time is a futuristic noir thriller that combines the genres of crime, suspense, action and science fiction.
The year is a bleak 2140 and a criminal organization called the Syndicate has the ability to smuggle high-paying customers back in time to a better life via a number of closely held time machines. Tatsuo and Oscar, long time “employees” of the unlawful empire decide to steal a time machine of their own.
But you can’t outrun your past. Or the Syndicate.
Billed as Looper meets Saga, with the feel of Chinatown mixed with Blade Runner, Time After Time, is an exciting, edge-of-your-seat romp through the back alleys and back times of a world gone miserable. The first issue is a double-sized helping of fantastical story and wonderful art and you can catch a sneak peek of it by watching the trailer below:
