It’s the last long weekend of the summer, with no real big releases hitting theaters. On that note, we’ve got a fairly short box office predictions entry for you.
Look for Crazy Rich Asians to hold on to the top of the box office for a third week in a row with $19 million. The Meg will be behind it in second place with $7 million. New release Operation Finale, a post-World War II drama starring Ben Kingsley and Oscar Isaac, will debut in third place with $6.5 million. Mission: Impossible – Fallout will be in fourth place with $5.5 million, while Searching, the new thrill with Jon Cho, will land in fifth place with $5 million.
So, to recap, here are our predictions:
