The Week In Horror: Rob Zombie, ‘The Shape of Water’ + ‘Rawhead Rex’

It was announced this week that Rob Zombie will be releasing a box set of all 11 of his solo albums on 180g vinyl, loaded with extras (listed below). This is a massive set for hardcore fans with deep pockets. Its up for pre-order now for $420.

– Creeper Robot Mask: 1970s Halloween-style hand-painted mask
– Creeper Robot 8GB USB stick: all albums included as uncompressed 44.1kHz 16-bit digital audio files for your personal use only
– Custom box designed by Rob Zombie
– Each box will be foil-stamp numbered
– Five collectable lithos designed by Rob Zombie and Hartman – one litho will be signed by Rob Zombie
– Turntable mat designed by Rob Zombie
– Micro-fiber vinyl cleaning cloth designed by Rob Zombie and Hartman

Funko is releasing new Pops based on The Shape of Water characters Elisa and the amphibian man, but I’m a bit more excited about the Guillermo del Toro Pop! In fact, I’d be down with a whole line of horror director Pops.

Following on the heels of last year’s Kino Lorber 4K re-release, Rawhead Rex will be getting a UK re-release with brand new artwork. It looks like all the extras, including an essay written by Diabolique’s Kat Ellinger will be ported over to the new Arrow release. Whether you’re in the UK or the US, you can finally add this grossly underrated title to your library. Rawhead Rex is based on the Clive Barker short story of the same name that appeared in Books of Blood Volume III.
