Consider this weekend the calm before the storm, as there are no blockbuster releases coming out. How much money will the guaranteed number one bring in? Here’s our prediction:
The Circle is an adaptation of a David Eggers Young Adult novel, starring Tom Hanks and Emma Watson. While you might think that this duo would guarantee big box office numbers,this movie has really flown under the radar and there isn’t really any hype surrounding it. Emma Watson is riding a high thanks to Beauty and the Beast, but it’s doubtful that it will translate to any real audience. Look for a third place debut for The Circle with $9 million.
As for the rest of the top five, The Fate of the Furious will hold on to the top spot at the box office for a third weekend in a row with $20 million. The Boss Baby will remain in second place with $9.5 million. Beauty and the Beast will be in fourth place with $7 million, while Going In Style will close things out in fifth place with $4 million.
