Audiences likely to ignore Unforgettable this weekend

It’s a short box office prediction entry this week, as none of the new releases coming out are going to make any sort of dent against the reigning number one champ. Here’s our predictions:

Unforgettable is a new thriller starring Katherine Heigl, which should pretty much tell you everything you need to know about its chances for success. Audiences have completely turned their back on this actor, and its doubtful she’ll be able to draw to many people into theaters. Look for a fourth place debut with $7 million.

As for the rest of the top five, The Fate of the Furious should continue on top of the box office, but it will likely have a bit of a steep drop. Look for it to remain in first place with $40 million.

The Boss Baby will be in second place with $10 million. Beauty and the Beast will be in third place with $8.5 million, while Going In Style will close things out in fifth place with $4 million.

So, to recap, here are our predictions:

1) The Fate of the Furious – $40 million
2) The Boss Baby – $10 million
3) Beauty and the Beast – $8.5 million
4) Unforgetabble – $7 million
5) Going In Style – $4 million

Be sure to check back on Sunday to see how the weekend turns out!

  1. She hasn’t exactly made a whole lot of wise career choices … this looks like another one. A trope that’s been done to death, and done best by Sharon Stone.
