One new major release wants to drag you in to movie theatres this weekend – can it get the job done? Here’s our prediction:
I, Frankenstein is based on an obscure comic book that looks to make Mary Shelly’s monster, Adam, into a hero. Aaron Eckhart is in the lead role, but his name isn’t guaranteed money. The premise seems pretty silly to me, to be honest with you, and I don’t think I, Frankenstein will score the results people are hoping for. Look for a third place showing with $15 million.
As for the rest of the top five, Ride Along should hold onto the top spot again with $20 million. The Nut Job will be behind it in second place with $16 million. Lone Survivor will grab fourth place with $14 million, while Frozen will close things out in fifth with $12 million.
So, to recap, here are our predictions:
1) Ride Along – $20 million
2) The Nut Job – $16 million
3) I, Frankenstein – $15 million
4) Lone Survivor – $14 million
5) Frozen – $12 million
Be sure to check back on Sunday to see how the weekend turns out!
Being a huge fan of the Underworld Series, I’m pulling for I, Frankenstein!
