Look, this can be done, but time is of the essence. I’m not gong wax on about why something I’m going to suggest is going to be great for your spouse, son, daughter, mother, father, best friend or significant other.
No. I’m just gonna give you tried and true – and still great – recommendations that are quick to put together. Two words: Gift. Cards.
Here are a few picks:
Amazon Holiday Gift Cards
Whoa. That’s fast! Got a colour printer? There’s a whack of really beautiful holiday designs to choose from. You can get them right here, of course.
Cineplex Odeon & Misc. Theatre
Everyone loves a good movie…and there are plenty to see right now: The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Anchorman 2, Inside Llewyn Davis, 47 Ronin, American Hustle, Frozen, Grudge Match, The Wolf of Wall Street, or The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Whether your child or a child inside in an adult’s body, passes to the nearby cinema will always come in handy! Oh! And don’t forget to check out this site. We’ll be tipping our collective hats to all the cool flicks so you can have an enjoyable day/night out with your smiling gift-received loved one.
Does somebody you know love music? Movies? A certain television show? iTunes gift cards are the way to go. You can either visit a local Apple store to pick them up (in dollar amounts of $25, $50 or $100) or visit the iTunes website here where you can choose your amount, compose a message and email the card to your loved one. Don’t worry. This is one e-gift card that will most certainly be used!
Home Depot and Rona
We’re coming up to 2014 and that means New Year’s resolutions…and New Year’s projects around the home! Someone you know is going to need supplies for all that home improvement on the docket. How about a gift card from your nearest Home Depot or Rona?
Who couldn’t use a little rocket fuel in the coming days? Ah, yes! The caffeinated culture that is North America. Double espresso, Americano, latte, Royal Blend. Medium, tall or venti. Everyone is into the twenty-first century’s very own black gold. Hit up a local coffee chain. They’ll be sure to help you out with gift cards of various costs.
Your Local Mall
Sometimes, the easiest answer is right in front of us. Instead of purchasing a gift card to a specific store, most malls have their very own. These can generally be used at any store inside the mall. In fact, if the mall owner is a property development and holding company like, say, Cadillac Fairview, the gift card can probably be used at any of the parent company’s mall holdings throughout your city, province or state. Talk about breadth…and choice!
Barring all that, if there really isn’t any time to do…well…anything, there’s always the “King” of all gifts: cash. But please, at least put it inside a card.
