It’s coming! Today we have the (first?) prequel mini-episode to the November 23 Fiftieth Anniversary Special of “Doctor Who” – called “The Night of The Doctor” written by showrunner Steven Moffat and featuring… well, just wait and see…
“I’m The Doctor… but probably not the one you expect…”
Wow. Was that awesome or what? I am more stoked for the special now more than ever.
The Eighth Doctor (Paul McGann), in canon, only appeared in the Fox TV movie from 1996, the last adventure of the original series before it was revamped and resurrected by the BBC in 2005 with Christopher Eccleston as The Ninth Doctor, post-Time War. The Sisterhood of Karn made their first appearance in “The Brain of Morbius,” an adventure of The Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) from the 1970s.
Here are the two previous pre-special sneak peeks, in case you missed them:
The Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special airs worldwide live, and in theaters in 3-D, on November 23rd. See you then!
