For those select few of you who have yet to watch the teaser trailer for Season 5 of True Blood, do so NOW! I personally thought last season was sort of weak but this trailer still makes me really excited for what’s to come. Did you notice there is no Tara in this video? Also – who is Eric making out with? What’s up with Terry? HBO has just confirmed True Blood‘s 12-episode fifth season will premiere on Sunday, June 10th.
Aaron Sorkin‘s new HBO drama The Newsroom is set to make its debut on Sunday June 24th but check out the video below for a little taste of what to expect. The series is set behind-the-scenes at a fictional cable news network, and centers on an anchor (Jeff Daniels), his new executive producer (Emily Mortimer), his newsroom staff (Alison Pill, John Gallagher, Jr., Olivia Munn, Dev Patel, Thomas Sadoski) and their boss (Sam Waterston). This short preview is already drawing many comparisons to Sorkin’s previous TV ventures including The West Wing, Sports Night, and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. I’m excited about this one!
Who shot Nancy? That’s what we’re going to find out when Weeds returns on July 1st. Watch the video below to relive seven seasons worth of Nancy-isms, drugs, and bad guys. Hit the comments with your theories on the lingering mystery from last year’s season ender.
TNT premiered this video last week at the Emerald City Comicon to get fans excited for the second season of Falling Skies. The three-minute clip shows the opening moments of the two-hour premiere, titled “Worlds Apart.” It’s pretty damn intense! The season picks up where Season 1 left off — with Tom (Noah Wyle) offering himself as sacrifice to Earth’s extraterrestrial abductors. The series then leaps forward three months. Check it out and let me know what you think. Also, if this doesn’t get you excited for Season 2 then maybe John Locke will? Terry O’Quinn has been cast as Tom Mason’s mentor, although right now he is only scheduled to appear in the final two episodes of the second season.
HBO is on a role and has released another trailer. This time for the new series VEEP, premiering Sunday April 22nd. Emmy award winning Julia Louis-Dreyfus stars as Selina Meyer, the Vice President of the United States in the new HBO comedy series created by Armando Iannucci. The show follows the whirlwind day-to-day existence of the VP as she puts out political fires, juggles a busy public schedule and demanding private life, and defends the president’s interests, even as she tries to improve her dysfunctional relationship with the chief executive. The series also stars Anna Chlumsky (My Girl) and Tony Hale (Arrested Development). Will you be watching??
Oh my God!! I can’t wait. I live and breathe for True Blood, even though they don’t follow the books. Falling Skies looks awesome for this year and of course we have my favorite Julia Louis-Dreyfus in a new show. I’m happy!!!
