Trailer Time: Marvel’s ‘Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’

Last Tuesday marked the untimely series finale of one of my favourite sitcoms, Kim’s Convenience, but one of it’s stars, Simu Liu is on to bigger things with the 25th Marvel film, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The film will be the first Asian-led MCU movie, and will follow Liu as the titular character facing off against his father, the Mandarin (Tony Leung) and the Ten Rings Organization. Destin Daniel Cretton (Just Mercy) is directing from a script by Dave Callaham (Wonder Woman 1984). Awkwafina (Nora From Queens, Raya and the Last Dragon), Ronny Chieng (The Daily Show, Crazy Rich Asians), and Michelle Yeoh (Star Trek: Discovery, Master Z: The Ip Man Legacy) are all co-starring.

We’ve got the first teaser trailer for the project, and it’s full of some wild superpowered martial arts shenanigans and at least one crazy scene involving a runaway bus. You can check it out right here!

Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will be released in theatres on September 3, 2021.
