It was an outstanding weekend for the return of the duo of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, as these bad boys easily topped the box office.
Bad Boys For Life, the third film in the series, debut with an excellent $59 million, outperforming initial estimates. The success has already led to talks of a fourth film in the franchise, one that will likely come much quicker than the seventeen-year wait fans had for this one.
Meanwhile, Dolittle and 1917 are currently battling it out for second place. As things stand as of Sunday afternoon, Dolittle is estimated to debut in second place with $22.7 million, while 1917 is right behind it with $22.1 million. The two films could easily flip spots by the time the weekend actuals arrive Tuesday morning.
As for the rest of the top five, Jumanji: The Next Level was in fourth place with $9.6 million, while Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker closed things out in fifth place with $8.4 million.
