No big new releases are hitting theatres this weekend, so it’s going to be smooth sailing for the holiday season’s clear winner.
Frozen II will have the top spot for the third weekend in a row (the Princess and I are seeing it Saturday together, though she already caught it once already with her mom and loved it). Look for it to bring in $45 million as it begins its journey towards the $400 million mark.
As for the rest of the top five, Knives Out will be in second place with $15 million. A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood will be in third place with $10 million, while Ford v Ferrari will follow it in fourth with $8 million. Queen & Slim will close things out in fifth place with $6.5 million.
So, to recap, here are our predictions:
1) Frozen II – $45 million
2) Knives Out – $15 million
3) A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood – $10 million
4) Ford v Ferrari – $8 million
5) Queen & Slim – $6.5 million
Be sure to check back on Sunday to see how the weekend turns out!
