Doctor Sleep, the sequel to Stephen King’s The Shining, is scheduled for release this November. It’s no secret that King hated Stanley Kubrick’s version of his classic haunted hotel tale. King has made no bones about Doctor Sleep being the continuation of the book, not Kubrick’s movie. The film version of Doctor Sleep should follow a more faithful path, with Michael Flanagan (Gerald’s Game, The Haunting of Hill House) taking the helm. Starring Ewan McGregor as an adult Danny Torrance, Doctor Sleep chronicles his attempts to save a psychic young girl from the clutches of a cult called The True Knot. Check out the first full trailer for Doctor Sleep before its theatrical release in November. Will you be catching this in the theater, or will you overlook it?
