The Week In Horror: Fred Dekker, ‘The Ranger,’ Savage World

Where the hell was I last week? Eh…don’t worry about it. I’m back now, with most of my sanity intact. So, what the hell is going on?

Do you listen to Post Mortem Podcast with Mick Garris? You really should be. Every episode, he’s interviewing an important figure in horror cinema and the latest episode was recorded live at Fantasia Film Fest. But check out the episode before last, where Garris interviews Fred Dekker (Monster Club, Night of the Creeps) on his career and his new movie, The Predator, which he wrote for director Shane Black, and which premieres next month! I’m really excited for this latest chapter in the Predator saga, which Dekker describes as a modern Dirty Dozen movie. Post Mortem should be easy to find where ever you enjoy podcasts.

Are you in or near New York City? Then you should get your ass to IFC Theater to see Jenn Wexler’s The Ranger! Look for my full review, here on Biff Bam Pop. It’s seriously a top 3 movie of the year so far for me.

Do you collect horror toys? Did you grow up loving Masters of the Universe? Well, Funko is clearly out to violate your bank account. Their new Savage World line re-imagines Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Pinhead, Michael Meyers, and Leatherface in the classic Mattel MOTU style.
