Trailer Time: Hulu’s ‘Castle Rock’

Castle Rock, the upcoming Hulu series based on the semi-fictional world from Stephen King’s fiction, has a new teaser trailer.

It’s only 40 seconds long, but through suspenseful music and skillful editing, it creates an undeniable feeling of dread.

In addition, the cast is by far one of the most impressive TV series casts I’ve seen in quite some time. Let’s take a look!

First, there’s André Holland (who was phenomenal in Steven Soderbergh’s The Knick) talking to Scott Glenn (a living legend of an actor if there ever was one).

Next, there’s a shot of Bill Skarsgård in prison. If you haven’t yet seen IT, please go rectify that right after you read this post.

After that, there are quick flashes of Melanie Lynskey (Heavenly Creatures, among many others), Jane Levy (Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe), and the always-fantastic Terry O’ Quinn (Millennium, LOST).

The trailer ends with a panicked Sissy Spacek (!!!) saying that something terrible is happening.

I don’t know about you, but I am sold, especially after seeing J.J. Abrams’ name in the credits.

Hulu has not yet announced a premiere date for the 10-episode series.
