Despite the stops and starts in production and the script being leaked to the internet along the way, a Christmas Day release is planned. The Hateful Eight was written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, and stars Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern, Lee Horsley, Walton Goggins, Gene Jones, and just maybe Channing Tatum. The film opens Christmas Day 2015.
