Looking for something to read this holiday season? I think we have something perfect, especially if you’re a regular reader of Biff Bam Pop!. Roof Oasis is the stunning first novel from our site’s senior writer Marie Gilbert. Check out the details after the jump.

Marie Gilbert is an amazing woman I met several years ago who is simply a powerhouse of energy and creativity. Whether you know her from her terrific recaps here at Biff Bam Pop! (“The Walking Dead,” “Orphan Black,” “Sleepy Hollow,” and “American Horror Story” just to name a few), or her ghost investigations, her always entertaining blog, her articles for Go Jane News, or her non-stop promotion of the books and activities of the South Jersey Writers’ Group – you know Marie, fondly known as Steampunk Granny, is a talented writing fireball. She was also the co-editor of Tall Tales and Short Stories from South Jersey, also a cool gift if you’re in the giving mood as well, hint hint.

Since the release of her first novel earlier this year, Roof Oasis: An Apocalyptic Tale (Volume 1) continues to do well as Marie works hard on the next volume. This first novel is the tale of twins Michael and Lucy caught in a world devastated by bio-warfare that has inadvertently created zombies. As the hordes of the undead close in, the twins find that their only salvation may lie within a Victorian mirror hidden in the attic of their family home. You can read more about the novel here.

Roof Oasis: An Apocalyptic Tale (Volume 1) by Marie Gilbert, is available as a paperback from Amazon here and also on Kindle. The cover design and illustration is by Shelley Szajner.

We are all so proud of Marie here at Biff Bam Pop!, and as her friend and fellow member of the SJWG, I was honored to present her with her latest award this past weekend – Marie Gilbert is the South Jersey Writers’ Group’s 2014 Writer of the Year! Congratulations, Marie!
