  1. My favorite comic book character was Dr. Strange because he was a magician and sorcerer. My father owned a neighborhood grocery story and part of our inventory was comic books and 45rpm records, go figure, sometimes my dad was actually a cool guy. Since we had to buy the records or comic books with our allowance for hours worked behind the counter, my siblings and I had found a way to open the sealed plastic package, read the book and then slip it back into the package. My father never caught on.
