Director Fede Alvarez (Evil Dead (2013)) trades Deadites for Xenomorphs with his entry into the Alien franchise, Alien: Romulus. It’s been seven years since the last Alien movie. Both Prometheus and Alien: Covenant delved deeply into the origin of the Xenos, bordering on studies in philosophy rather than horror. Knowing Alvarez’s penchant for gore and tension, Alien: Romulus looks like a return to the basics (except for all the young adults running around). We’re ready for the Alien movies to be scary again!
