Since it’s release this morning, the trailer for A24’s sci-fi action comedy Everything Everywhere All At Once has been burning up the internet. For good reason, too, because it’s one of my favourite trailers of the year.
The genre-busting film from Daniels (Swiss Army Man) and starring Michelle Yeoh tells the story of a Chinese immigrant who is thrust into a multiverse-spanning adventure in which she must confront several different versions of herself. Everything Everywhere All At Once co-stars Stephanie Hsu (Shang-Chi), Ke Huy Quan (The Goonies), James Hong (Big Trouble in Little China), Jenny Slate (Obvious Child), and Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween). The trailer is, in my opinion, stunning and hilarious and…Just watch it okay?!
Wasn’t that nuts? There’s all sorts of wacky and fascinating imagery and ideas here, and I can’t wait for the film’s release on March 25, 2022. I can already tell this will be one of the best surprises of next year.
Everything Everywhere All At Once will premiere as the opening night film at the South by Southwest Film Festival on March 11, 2022, ahead of a wider theatrical release on March 25, 2022 from A24.
