You don’t expect a movie called Rabid to be pretty. Taking a look at this trailer, Jen and Sylvia Soska have liberally applied blood and sex to their version of David Cronenberg’s classic. The original wasn’t exactly subtle. There’s a bit of controversy around Rabid. Are Cronenberg movies sacred cows that shouldn’t be touched by the reimagining craze? Moreover, does this movie even look good? It’s hard to tell from a three-minute-long trailer, but from what I’ve seen, this could be a terrific watch.
