Was considered for the role of Lois Lane in a proposed relaunch of the Superman franchise by Warner Brothers and was also considered for the role of Wonder Woman in a film adaptation that was never made.
Sometimes, it’s simply a privilege to have the opportunity to highlight an actor / actress’ career who has brought so many magical moments to the silver screen. Sandra Bullock (aka “America’s Sweetheart”) broke out in her quirky-yet-lovable role as Lenina Huxley in the sci-fi action-comedy Demolition Man. From there, Bullock leveraged her charming personality and girl-next-door looks to dominate the 90’s with a string of hits across multiple genres including action (Speed), comedy (While You Were Sleeping, Miss Congeniality) and drama (A Time to Kill, Hope Floats). In addition to her box office success (which still continues today), Bullock has also demonstrated some serious acting chops and has been featured in countless publications as one of America’s most beautiful individuals, not just for her looks, but more importantly for her philanthropy and graciousness.
I’ll admit that I was never a huge fan of the Ocean’s Eleven franchise (entertaining, but easily forgettable); however, with Bullock in the lead alongside some fantastic supporting talent, you’ll definitely find me at the movie theater this weekend for Ocean’s 8. May the hits keep coming for the amazingly talented Sandra Bullock!
