It’s the final weekend before Deadpool 2 hits theaters, which means Avengers: Infinity War will most definitely hold on to the top spot for a third and final time, before giving up the ghost. How much will it bring in? Here’s our prediction:
Infinity War has been a record-breaking phenomenon, with a worldwide total currently sitting at $1.2 billion, and a North American gross of $479 million. While it’s unlikely to beat the culture breaking Black Panther‘s nearly $700 million in North America, it should manage to get close to $600 million. This weekend look for Avengers: Infinity War to remain in the top spot with $60 million.
Meanwhile, two new films, Life of the Party and Breaking In are hoping to make some noise in theaters. The former stars Melissa McCarthy, the latter Gabrielle Union, and both are sitting with absolutely awful reviews that will keep them from finding big audiences. Look for Life of the Party to debut in second place with $19 million, while Breaking In will settle for third place with $16 million.
As for the rest of the top five, Overboard will be in fourth place with $6 million, while A Quiet Place will close things out in fifth place with $3.5 million.
So, to recap, here are our predictions:
1) Avengers: Infinity War – $60 million
2) Life of the Party – $19 million
3) Breaking In – $16 million
4) Overboard – $6 million
5) A Quiet Place – $3.5 million
