With LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, Another Mighty Marvel Video Games Is Here

Next years brings movie goers Avengers: Infinity War, which promises to showcase a team-up between the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy, as they take on the power that is Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet. If you can’t wait that long to see Marvel’s finest join together, we’ve got good news. There’s a new LEGO game on stores shelves that puts you incontrol of Marvel’s biggest and brightest superheroes, including the Guardians and the Avengers.

Enter LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2.

Following the previous game, here Kang the Conquereror has travelled across various timelines to create the city of Chronopolis, an amalgamation of other places and times from throughout the Marvel Universe. Heroes from all eras must band together to prevent Kang from taking over the universe.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 kicks off with a bang, as you play as the Guardians of the Galaxy on a rescue mission to save civilians on Xandar, along with members of the Nova Corps. The game gets the world and the characters spot on. To take on a Celestial in the first few minutes playing…well, I was primed and pumped for delving deep into this world.

The combined efforts of the folks at TT Games and WB Interactive continue to push their LEGO games. Yes, if you’ve played previous LEGO installments, the gameplay itself is instantly familiar. What’s impressive is the look of the game – it feels crisper and bigger, a feeling much like the recently released LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game also delivered. Along with tried and true characters, Marvel Super Heroes 2 also offers up more recent comic book favourites, including Spider-Gwen, Ms. Marvel and the new Ghost Rider. With Gazillion losing their own Marvel license in the coming months, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is really the best place to enjoy taking control of the greatest super heroes out there.

While some may say that without major gameplay innovations LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 feels like more of the same, but I’d heartily disagree, thanks to the epic storyline and the always fun pastime of smashing bricks. File this as another fun filled LEGO video game.

Excelsior!
