Trailer Time: Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

abcshieldThis week, the network television new season line-ups were revealed, and at the front of ABC’s offerings was the Avengers television spin-off “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”  And we have not one, but two sneak peeks!

Here’s how ABC describes the series: Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary.  Coulson’s team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) expert pilot and martial artist, Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker); brilliant engineer and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet).  From Executive Producers Joss Whedon (“Marvel’s The Avengers,” ”Buffy the Vampire Slayer”); Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” pilot co-writers (“Dollhouse,” “Dr.Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog”); Jeffrey Bell (“Angel,” “Alias”); and Jeph Loeb (“Smallville”) comes Marvel’s first TV series. “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television.

Here are the two trailer sneak peeks we have so far:

Wow. The new TV season just can’t get here soon enough! What do you folks think?

  1. Just like Arrow, I tend to remain skeptical until i can actually see the first few episodes to see how well they are doing. Sneak Peeks sometimes are the highlight of a show and not a true indicator of a good story arc when the series debuts. It also doesn’t help my enthusiasm when Disney controls both the network and the production company that produces it. Hopefully, Disney has learned to let the Wedon’s (et al) have the creative control they require and do not interfere or demand “Avengers” type ratings.

But I do remain hopeful we get to see Colson in shades with a kick-ass car in every episode. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
