Each week we will previewing new shows being added to the Fall TV Line-up. These recaps should help you decide what’s worth adding to your viewing schedule and what you should skip. First up is 666 Park Avenue starring Terry O’Quinn (Lost) and Vanessa Williams (Desperate Housewives). To start off, have a look at the trailer for the new series and then read on after the jump for a full synopsis:
Starring: Terry O’Quinn (Lost), Vanessa Williams (Desperate Housewives), Dave Annable (Brothers & Sisters), Mercedes Masohn (The Finder), Robert Buckley (One Tree Hill), Rachael Taylor (Grey’s Anatomy)
Competition: American Horror Story, The Walking Dead, The Mentalist, Sunday Night Football
The Plot: Based on the book series by Gabriella Pierce, this supernatural drama centers around a young mid-western couple (Annable and Taylor) who have been hired to manage The Drake, a luxurious apartment building on the Upper East Side in New York City where the residents have been possessed by demonic forces and have unknowingly sold their souls to the devil. Their every wish, desire and ambition is fulfilled, but the price tag is more costly than any of them could possibly imagine. Created and produced by David Wilcox.
Should You Watch It?: The network is hoping to bank on the female audience from Revenge, who will choose a character-driven supernatural soap opera over competitors The Walking Dead and American Horror Story. I know we are always worried about investing our time into a series that is just going to get cancelled after the first season but I think this one is a good one to take a chance on. The series has a very strong cast and strong network lead-ins with Once Upon A Time and Revenge so I expect big numbers checking into 666 Park Ave. With Revenge as the lead-in, there is a good chance I will end up sticking around to watch and really… anything with John Locke in it, I have to support!
