Pretty Little Liars returns on Tuesday June 5th with their third season, and ABC Family has just released this synopsis of the premiere episode which will definitely get you excited…
“A summer has passed since Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer found out about Mona being ‘A’ and Maya’s death…. Each of the four girls spent their summer in different ways – Aria taking a photography class, Spencer taking college courses at Hollis, Hanna taking cooking classes with Caleb and Emily building houses in Haiti. But… with post-traumatic stress, anger and the acquisition of more secrets the four Liars are anything but fine. Now all back together and coming upon the second anniversary of Alison’s disappearance, the girls find themselves back on the defensive when a shocking event rocks Rosewood.”
What is the shocking event???
Since basically everyone died in Spartacus at the end of Season 2, the series is starting to announce some of the new cast being brought on board to fill the void(s). Cabin in the Woods‘ Anna Hutchison, Australian actress Jenna Lind, and New Zealand newcomer Gwendoline Taylor are joining the drama in Season 3 as series regulars according to TVLine. Hutchison will play Laeta, the privileged wife of a Roman dignitary who becomes entangled in the struggle against Spartacus. Her life and those of the ones she loves are forever changed by the conflict. Lind will portray Kore, a loyal slave to Marcus Crassus (Simon Merrells), the Roman tasked with bringing an end to Spartacus and his rebellion. Her deep feelings for her master will be sorely tested by spiraling events. Lastly, Taylor will play Sibyl, a beautiful young slave rescued from Roman cruelty. Now free, she will embark on a journey that will touch the lives of key leaders in the rebellion. Spartacus‘ third season will debut in early 2013. What do you think about these new characters? Are you still mourning the deaths of Season 2?
Fox has announced a new reality show that sounds awful but I will probably become addicted to. The Choice will feature (just like The Voice) contestants in blind auditions for a quartet of celebrity judges who are seated in spinning chairs. You’re probably thinking this is a huge rip off of The Voice aren’t you? Well it sort of is except it’s not a music competition, it’s a dating show! So yeah… four single “celebrities” will sit in rotating chairs in front of a live studio audience, with their backs to a bunch of single folk. The potential love interests can describe their life, their interests and their turn-ons — but the celebrities can only rely on their voice and their answers. If the celebrity likes what they hear, they can pull their “love handle”. In another rip off of The Voice, if two celebs pull their love handle at the same time, it’s the contestant who gets to choose which celebrity they want to “date”. The Choice will be hosted by So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley and debuts on Thursday, June 7th.
I’m watching The Choice. I can only imagine it right now.
