Giveaway! Win A Copy Of Smallville – The Final Season In Day 12 Of Biff Bam Pop’s Holiday Gift Guide

After ten years of growing up, the Boy of Steel finally became a man.

Debuting on October 16, 2001, Smallville had the dubious honour of being the right show at the right time following the tragedy of 9/11.  America needed heroes, and The WB network provided with this “no flights, no tights” take on the early years of the world’s greatest superhero.

Since then, young Clark Kent (Tom Welling) faced tornadoes, nuclear missiles, a Kryptonian artificial intelligence representing his long-dead father, Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum), Doomsday, General Zod, Major Zod (the same guy, but not really – it’s hard to explain) and a whole lot of heartbreak with his on-again, off-again loves – Lana Lang (Kristen Kreuk) and Lois Lane (Erica Durance).

Then came the big 1-0.

By the time the season clock rolled to double digits, Smallville was all about fan service.  Becoming the longest-running science fiction show produced in North America, Smallville threw everything it could into the mix – the Justice Society of America, Green Arrow, Superboy, Supergirl, Brainiac 5, Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, Ultraman, Darkseid, a resurrected Lex Luthor and even marriage – capping off an incredible run with what fans had waited ten years to see.

Well, almost.

To tie over the super-fan on your holiday gift list until The Man of Steel hits theatres in 2013, this six-disc set (four on Blu-Ray) contains all 22 episodes of the hit show as well as a music video, deleted scenes, commentaries and a featurette looking at the show’s landmark 200th episode.  Retailing for anywhere between $49.99 and $79.99, Smallville: The Final Season is available anywhere DVDs are sold, including Amazon.ca.

  1. All my favorite moments revolve around Clark and Lana, but so do my least favorite moments xD I think they broke my heart just as much throughout the years.

  2. Favorite moment was when they used the fanfare for the first time. I want to say it was an episode with Christopher Reeves as Dr Swan but I may be wrong. Still need to pick up seasons 5+ but I’m getting there.

  3. Im sure I’ve missed many great plot twists, but I was excited to see the episode with the introduction of Green Arrow. It got me all nostalgic for the old Brave & Bold comic series and team-ups.

  4. When clark and lex (possesed by kryptonian zod) fight it out in the Luther mansion. The special effects are awesome.
Going thru the window flying thu the sky ending up in the forest ..

  5. I loved episode 100 where Clark proposed to Lana – so much happened in that one episode, and the fact that he was able to go back in time to change everything made it really cool to watch

  6. Season 1. Episode: Stray. Ryan gives Clark his Warrior Angel comics, and Clark doesn’t want to accept them. So Ryan says, “I don’t need them anymore. I have you.” It perfectly describes how I feel about Smallville.
