Queens of the Stone Age – Where the goth girls at? That’s the question that Queens of the Stone Age are asking on their new single. “Where the Goth Girls At?”, the latest release from their upcoming album Perfecth. Built on minimalist riffs, a big explosive chorus and lush strings and horns, the track looks back at Josh Homme’s teenage years and the timeless desire to impress your crush. It’s also got a surreal and tongue-in-cheek video that’s sure to be a fan favourite.

Tegan and Sara – It’s about time! Tegan and Sara are back with new music. “Our Year” marks the Canadian indie-pop icons’ first new single since 2022’s Crybaby, bringing together the sisters, Lights and producer Felix Cartal for a very Canadian collab. Part big pop love letter to Vancouver and part cheeky social commentary. New era? We’re listening.

Twin Temple – Spooky duo Twin Temple are turning heartbreak into a beautiful lover’s nightmare with “Doomed Lovers,” the title track from their upcoming third album produced by Shooter Jennings. Fresh off their very public spat with Charley Crockett, the self-professed purveyors of “Satanic Doo Wop” go full cinematic, shooting the video on 16mm with occult imagery, oceanic grandeur and vintage Hollywood effects. Gloriously theatrical, it perfectly captures the vibe of love at the end of the world.

Northlane – Aussie metalcore giants Northlane are dropping their seventh album, Anemoia, on October 30. Just in time for Halloween! Their latest single “Crucified” is built on crushing riffs and raw aggression. Lyrically, the song examines the collapse of civil discourse and our increasingly hostile way of communicating. Executive produced by Jordan Fish, the album promises Northlane’s trademark blend of metal with trance, jungle, drum-and-bass and pop influences. Thinking outside of the box.

Magnus Ferrell – Nepo babies have a lot to prove, but Magnus Ferrell has the goods to live up to the hype. The 22-year-old singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and progeny of Will Ferrell follows his viral R&B hit “Asleep Talking” with his new EP Groove Therapy. The seven-track EP is packed with funky grooves, soulful hooks and seriously impressive pipes. One clear standout is “She’s Gonna Break My Heart” featuring Jenevieve, a breezy collaboration. Drawing on jazz, funk and R&B, Ferrell proves the hype isn’t just because of his famous dad. The boy can SING.
