If you’ve read my articles before, you’d likely know a few things about me. I love music, art and comics, but most of all, I love Nintendo’s Splatoon series.

With my love for all things Splatoon, you can be sure I was pretty excited when Nintendo announced the first spinoff game in the series, Splatoon Raiders.
Here’s the log line: A strange storm forces a helicopter carrying Deep Cut to the Spirhalite Islands to make an emergency landing. After a month of scraping together a hideout ship, you and your crew are ready to raid the nearby islands for the rumored treasure you came for—and find a way home!
Splatoon Raiders is a single-player-focused third-person shooter RPG, where you play as a mechanic, helping the idol group Deep Cut, made up of Shiver, Frye and Big Man, after they get stranded in the middle of the sea.

I love this game so much. I’ve always been a huge fan of the single-player campaigns in Splatoon, so having a whole game of single-player is amazing. The controls are easy to get the hang of, the clothing options are super cool, and the game expands on preexisting Splatoon lore.
I really hope Nintendo makes more games like Splatoon Raiders, and I would 100% recommend this game to Splatoon fans and non-fans alike.
