Friends Forever Broken Social Scene and Metric Debut New Music, Announce New Albums and Tour with Stars

What a day for Canadian indie fans! The only thing we knew about today was that Metric’s new single, “Victim Of Luck,” was going to be released. They followed with the announcement of their 10th album, Romanticize The Dive, releasing on April 24th.

Then, out of nowhere, Broken Social Scene released their new single, “Not Around Anymore,” from their surprise new album, Remember The Humans, their first in 9 years, which releases on May 8th.

AND THEN, Metric and Broken Social Scene announced the All The Feelings Tour, which features not only Metric and Broken Social Scene, but also Stars! This is the first time the three bands have toured together, and if the announcement photo is telling the truth, the last time as well.

The possibility of getting to witness Emily Haines and Amy Milan singing Anthems For A Seventeen Year-Old Girl when the tour comes to Toronto’s RBC Amphitheatre on August 7 is so exciting, and I know I’ll cry from joy if it happens.
