You can feel the excitement mounting!
Over the last few months and certainly the last few days, pop culture fandom around the world has eagerly anticipated the first taste of the new film featuring the Man of Steel.
Directed by James Gunn and starring David Corenswet as the titular Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as intrepid reporter Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as arch-villain Lex Luthor, the Superman teaser trailer finally drops!
Scheduled to be released on July 11, 2025, Superman will be the first feature film in Gunn’s new shared and carefully curated DC Universe slate of movie, television and cartoon productions. It promises to eschew nearly everything we’ve seen from cinematic DC properties. This DCU and, specifically, this Superman is a fresh start with a fresh cast and a decidedly more optimistic feel than previous incarnations.
Amid political turmoil at home and abroad, wars and societal unrest around the globe, if there was ever a time for optimism if there was ever a time for Superman, that time is now.
