Preview: The 2022 Edition of the Toronto International Film Festival

The Toronto International Film Festival is gearing up for its 2022 edition, which runs from Thursday, September 8th to Sunday, September 18th. The festival is heading back to its pre-pandemic ways, with lots of stars hopefully in town, galas galore, and more than 260 films being screened.

Among the potential highlights:

Opening-night Netflix movie The Swimmers from Sally El Hosaini

Rian Johnson and Daniel Craig’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

Billy Eichner’s Bros

My Policeman with Harry Styles

Viola Davis in The Woman King

We’ll also see Clement Virgo’s Brother, Sanaa Lathan’s On the Come Up, and Steve Spielberg’s The Fabelmans. Again, that’s just a small sampling of what will be screening this year. Sachin Hingoo will have info on the horror offerings with The Week in Horror, and Biff Bam Pop! will be hitting up a bunch of screenings once the festival is in full force.
