‘Frozen II’ to hold the weekend, ‘Knives Out’ should debut strong

It’s Thanksgiving in the U.S. of A.! That means a lot of families will be heading to the movies this weekend. The winner of the weekend is a no-brainer, but it will be interesting to see how one big new release does.

Knives Out is the new Agatha Christieesque whodunit from director Rian Johnson. It features an all-star cast including Daniel Craig, Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Evans, and Tony Collette, to name just a few. The film has been getting rave reviews, and there simply hasn’t been a movie like it out in a while. Look for a second-place debut with $25 million.

As for the rest of the top five, Frozen II is going to have an outstanding holiday weekend. Look for it to hold st number one with $87 million. A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood will be in third place with $11 million while Ford vs Ferrari will be right behind it with $10 million. 21 Bridges will close things out in fifth with $8 million.

So, to recap, here are our predictions:

1) Frozen II: $87 million
2) Knives Out – $25 million
