Happy Sunday, fiends, and welcome back to the Week In Horror! Looks like Brightburn had a great debut this weekend. Did you see it? Let us know what you thought in the comments!
Did you catch the season finale of DC’s Doom Patrol Friday? I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited for a show I love to end as Doom Patrol. Why? Because now we are less than a week from the start of James Wan’s Swamp Thing, starring Derek Mears! Doom Patrol was everything it should have been; absurd, funny, dark, uncomfortable, exciting, and funny as hell. I don’t believe it has been officially re-upped for a second season, but it certainly deserves one! But…Swamp Thing. Guys, girls, I love Swamp Thing, it’s one of my favorite comics of all time, like, right next to Batman, and it has never had a proper adaptation (yes, I own both movies and all three seasons of the original show, and yes, I enjoy them on a certain level, but you know they all kinda suck).
The final trailer for Mike Dougherty’s Godzilla King of the Monsters has landed ahead of its wide release and I’m so fucking in.
Joe Hill’s novel NOS4A2 is coming to AMC and the trailer looks pretty damn good. I haven’t read the read the book yet, but I enjoyed Hill’s 21st Century Ghosts and Dead Man’s Vest.
