‘Captain Marvel’ Delivers an Outstanding Second Weekend

It was a marvellous three days for Captain Marvel, who had an outstanding second weekend at the box office.

The good Captain brought in an estimated $69 million to hold on to the top spot, raising its two-week total to an incredible $266 million. With these sorts of numbers, and the hype only building to Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel has an excellent shot at hitting $400 million.

As for the rest of the top five, the kids film Wonder Park was in second place with $16 million. Five Feet Apart debuted in third with $13 million. How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World landed in fourth place with $9 million, while Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral closed things out in fifth with $8 million.

So, to recap, here were our predictions:

1) Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel – $75 million
2) Wonder Park – $16 million
3) Five Feet Apart – $11 million
4) How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World – $8 million
5) Captive State – $7 million

And here’s how the weekend is estimated to turn out:
